The platform

How The Hastings Fund works

The Hastings Fund is an educational resource about private funds and funds of funds, and a private, members-only space where accredited investors can review materials that fund managers choose to share. No fund offering is shown on any public page.

Step 1

Create a free investor account

Your name, email and a password. There is no cost to create an account.

Step 2

Complete the accredited-investor self-certification

Tick the SEC Rule 501(a) categories that apply to you, confirm three statements and sign. We record the date.

Step 3

Review fund materials

Only then can you see the private fund offerings managers have listed, their documents, and request information directly from a fund.

Rule 506(b) offerings

Rule 506(b) offerings may not be marketed by general solicitation or general advertising. They are shown here only to signed-in investors who have completed an accredited-investor self-certification; the fund decides whether to accept any investor.

Rule 506(c) offerings

Rule 506(c) offerings: the fund (the issuer) must take reasonable steps to verify that every purchaser is accredited — for example by reviewing tax returns, bank or brokerage statements, or a letter from a CPA, attorney, registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. That verification happens directly between you and the fund. Your self-certification here is not verification.

For fund managers

List your fund's offering materials

Create a manager account and submit your fund — strategy, asset class, the exemption you rely on, minimum, lockup and fees, and your offering document. Every submission is reviewed before it is visible, and it is shown only to signed-in investors who have self-certified as accredited. You remain responsible for your offering's compliance, including verification for Rule 506(c).

Important: Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. Any offering is made only by the issuer, through its own offering documents, to qualified investors. The Hastings Fund is not a broker-dealer, funding portal or investment adviser, does not recommend or endorse any fund, and does not provide investment, legal or tax advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Private fund investments are speculative and illiquid, and you can lose your entire investment.
